How do I get food?

If you are coming to the food bank for the first time, you will need to enter the building to register. Click here for details on how to sign up.

If you have already registered, then show up with your ID and food bank card. Drive up to the first window to check in. If you haven’t received your food bank card, inquire about it at the window. It usually takes 1-2 weeks before it’s ready.

Documentation Needed

How do I qualify for food?

F.O.R. Maricopa follows the Federal poverty guidelines for assistance qualification. For more information click here to go to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Planning and Evaluation page under the Department of Health and Human Services.

How often can I get food?

Once a week for perishables (Mon. OR Thurs.) and once a month for canned goods. You choose which day you want to come, Mondays or Thursdays (days can alternate to meet your schedule).

Do you deliver food?

We don’t currently have the resources to offer food delivery. However, there are occasionally local churches or community groups that may be able to help with a one-time delivery. While we can’t guarantee availability, we’re happy to share their information if possible.

How do I volunteer?

What do I do when I volunteer?

You will be sorting and packing food bags for those in need. Restocking and cleaning are all examples of roles you might have. If you have a lifting limitation just let the lead person know. Any other limitation will be discussed with lead person to confirm we have an appropriate assignment for you.
